How to update your NFT collection smart contract on OmniHub

Why Update Your Collection?

Smart contracts within the OmniHub ecosystem are continuously evolving, bringing new features, enhanced security, better performance, and expanded compatibility with upcoming platform tools.

By updating your NFT collection’s smart contract, you gain access to:

  • New features (custom mint settings, advanced access controls, improved logic).

  • Full compatibility with future OmniHub upgrades.

  • Improved contract security and reliability.

  • Readiness for upcoming use cases and integrations.

Collections that remain outdated will not be able to access or benefit from new features.

How to Update Your Collection

Updating your collection is a one-time on-chain action that requires a single transaction and a gas fee. Step-by-step:

  1. Log into the profile on OmniHub

  2. Find the collection you want to update

  3. Click "Upgrade" button next to contract version block

  4. Confirm the transaction in your wallet

  5. Once the transaction is confirmed, your collection will run on the latest smart contract version

All your tokens, metadata, and mint history remain intact, the contract address stays the same thanks to a proxy-based architecture.

Does the collection’s address change after the update?

The update uses a proxy pattern, so the address remains the same. All your NFTs and data are preserved.

Is it mandatory to update right away?

No, but delaying the update will limit your ability to use new features. To stay compatible with the latest OmniHub ecosystem, updating is strongly recommended.

Updating your NFT collection is more than a technical step, it’s a gateway to the future of OmniHub. Only updated collections will be able to take advantage of everything the platform offers as it continues to evolve.

Keep your collection up to date to unlock powerful new tools, features, and enhancements.
